I think the coolest thing about camp is the fact that yes when you leave it is hard because you leave a piece of your heart at camp, but you also get to take a piece of camp with you in your heart when you leave. It is hard to leave your children with people you do not know for an extended period of time. After one visit at Camp Woodmont, I was as comfortable leaving my children with the staff as I am with leaving my children with family. My kids ask all year how long it is before they go back. I can’t find anything that holds their attention as much as Camp Woodmont. I highly recommend you make Camp Woodmont part of your family traditions.

My two children have been Camp Woodmont campers since they were very little. The very first year I knew what a special place it was when my son Bob, then age 7, cried his first night home because he missed his counselor so much. Each summer my kids come home full of excited tales of climbing walls, ropes courses and X games. Their internet heroes replaced by counselors, their ipads, phones and Xbox replaced by songs, hiking and archery.
