HEALTH & SAFETY

Safe, seen, and cared for.

Camp Woodmont is ACA accredited, meaning we meet the highest standards in the camp industry for health, safety, and program quality. But safety at Woodmont goes beyond the checklist.

We have a full-time nursing staff on duty throughout every session. All water activities are supervised by certified lifeguards, and instructors for every activity hold appropriate certifications. We have a zero-tolerance policy on bullying, pranks, and harassment, because emotional safety is just as important as physical safety.

We’re parents too, and we understand what it means to trust someone with your child. That perspective shapes how we care for campers every day.

Why Overnight Camp?

A place they can call their own.

Something real happens when kids step away from home and into a community that’s entirely their own.

For first-timers: yes, there may be butterflies. That’s part of it. Kids arrive a little nervous but they leave a lot more themselves. They learn to make their own decisions, and they make friends without a screen between them.

For returning campers, they already know the impact a summer at camp can have. Each year builds on the last, making them stronger and more capable.

Camp Woodmont is one of the most meaningful experiences in a child’s development. For families dipping their toes into overnight camp for the first time, one to two weeks is a wonderful place to start. But if your camper is looking for a full camp experience, three weeks or longer is where deeper friendships develop, and there’s more time for growth, and the kind of experience that makes kids count down the days until next summer.
