Work at Camp Woodmont
Gain real experience while making a real impact.
Working at Camp Woodmont isn’t just a summer job. It’s one of those rare opportunities that challenges you and lets you make a real impact on the kids you work with. You’ll lead, mentor, problem-solve, laugh harder than you have in years, and leave knowing you made a difference in a child’s summer, and likely in their life.
We’re looking for people who believe in what camp can do for kids and who are ready to show up for it—fully.
Staff with heart
Our counselors are chosen not just for their skills, but for their ability to mentor and lead. We’re looking for people who are warm, adaptable, energetic, and committed to creating a safe and inclusive community for every camper. Previous camp experience is a plus. A genuine love for working with kids is a must.
We hire for the following roles:
Cabin Counselors
Live with and mentor a cabin of campers throughout their session. You are the most important person in their camp experience.
Activity Specialists
Lead instruction in your area of expertise, from horseback riding and archery to arts, drama, and water activities. Certifications required for relevant roles.
Leadership and Support Staff
Leaders and support roles for experienced camp professionals ready to take on more responsibility.
Health Staff
Full-time nursing staff positions available. RN or LPN certification required.
What to Expect
You’ll feel ready before day one.
All staff participate in a mandatory week-long training before the first session begins. You’ll learn our culture, our protocols, and our approach to mentorship, and you’ll get to know the team you’ll be spending the summer with. Most of our returning staff will tell you training week is one of their favorite parts.
For staff looking to expand their qualifications, we also offer a certification week covering areas such as lifeguarding and climbing wall instruction, giving you the credentials to lead some of the camp’s most sought-after activities.
Camp Woodmont is a residential experience. Staff live on-site during sessions and are provided with housing and meals. Compensation details are provided during the application process.
