Camp Woodmont has been welcoming campers for over 45 years, building a legacy of tradition, connection, and growth in the mountains of Cloudland, Georgia. Today, it’s led by former Camp Woodmont parents and a three-generation camping family shaped by a lifetime of summers at overnight camp.

Woodmont is an essential part of our campers' youth, where growth is built into every day through a balance of independence, guidance, and community. Here’s what makes that possible and sets us apart:
A Co-Ed Community
Boys and girls are part of the same community at Woodmont, learning how to be comfortable, respectful, and themselves around each other. It’s a more real-world dynamic, where connections form easily, and kids gain the kind of social confidence that carries beyond camp. At the same time, cabins and bathhouses are located on separate sides of camp, giving campers their own space and privacy.
Designed to Feel Personal
Our close-knit community means every camper is really known, not just another face in the crowd. That’s what allows friendships at Camp Woodmont to be different from the ones kids make anywhere else. They come from sharing everyday moments, working through challenges side by side, and having a place that feels like it’s truly theirs.
Choice Based Programming
Campers choose their own activities each week, whether that’s trying something new or doing what they love. Activities bring campers of all ages together, giving everyone the chance to get to know one another, form friendships, and learn from each other. Older campers naturally become mentors and role models, while younger campers get to feel part of the larger camp community.
Less Fuss, More Fun
Woodmont isn’t built on bells and whistles, and that’s intentional. We believe kids thrive with the right balance of structure and freedom, along with the space and support to be creative, get a little dirty, and take risks. Woodmont is that place, where they learn to be brave, build grit, and figure out what they’re capable of.
Staff Make the Difference
Our counselors are here because they believe in what camp can be for kids. Each one brings something different, and we lean into that, giving them the space to share their talents, lead, and introduce new ideas. It’s a collaborative approach that makes the experience stronger for campers and more meaningful for everyone involved.
